SOUTH AFRICA’S NADINE CELEBRATES 20 YEARS OF MUSIC AT THE CAROUSEL

The Carousel never disappoints when it comes to bringing top local acts to its stage and proudly hosts popular South African songstress Nadine as she performs a special show in celebration of her twentieth year in the music industry.
Starting off as the Krappies en Kriefies little girl with the unique voice who released her first album at 13, Nadine now boasts 11 solo albums and has sold over 500 000 copies. Whilst she is the all familiar
face on Friday evenings when she presents the popular Afrikaans music game show Musiek Roulette. Nadine’s achievements are not just local.

Having heard her voice, the legendary Julio Iglesias has requested that Nadine perform with him in one of his only three shows, touring South Africa in October. Iglesias says: “When I heard Nádine’s voice and saw live footage of her performing on stage, I knew I wanted her to make an appearance at my Cape Town show. It is just a matter of time before this lady will conquer Europe and the rest of the world.”

Sharing the stage with famous international stars is nothing new to this passionate young singer.  In 1997 she shared the stage with Billy Ocean in the Two Nations in Concert event, toured Australia and New Zealand in 2008 and is the first South African artist ever to have won a World Peace Festival award in Italy with her album, “This time I know it’s for real.”

22 concerts in China, chart topping on all radio stations after the release of her album Skildery, a duet with Susan Boyle, several performances in both Belgium and the Netherlands and being offered the main role in the South African production, Lied van my hart.  This does not nearly cover all of Nadine’s exceptional career achievements.

Do not miss this dynamic artist at The Carousel’s Cheyenne saloon on 29 October 2016 as she gets audiences singing and dancing along in true Nadine-style with some of her favourite songs, “Kaap se draai,” “This time I know it’s for real” and “Light in the sky” to mention but a few.
Tickets can be booked at Computicket and cost R 80 per person.
