Reggae musician Luciano is believed to re-apply for his United States of America work visa next year after it was revoked some few weeks ago.
"We spoke to an immigration consultant who advised that he could re-apply for a work permit as early as April next year." In the meantime, "We will be applying for a visitor's visa in October, he will just have to get a letter from his lawyer, and we will take it from there," said his booking agent Sonia
Sterling.
A couple of weeks ago, it was reported that Luciano had his US visa revoked after an immigration search of his belongings revealed an herbal medicine that contained marijuana extracts.
Sterling mentioned that, "...The over-the-counter supplement [herbal liquid] has garlic and some other stuff, but it also has hemp oil, and he uses to treat his throat when it gets hoarse after shows." Since the unlucky incident, Luciano has been paying deposits with the total being US $40,000 so far.
Luciano should find comfort in the fact that he is still able to perform in Europe and that, he will be doing a number of shows across the continent in weeks and months to come. Luciano has been in Reggae scene since 1992 and was recently nominated for Best Reggae Album at the Grammys for his 'Zion Awake' album.
