Veteran Ghanaian actress Awo Yaa says the Ghanaian movie industry is dead because most movie makers don’t learn.
In an interview with Milestone House GH, the actress revealed most movie makers don’t research before coming out with movies. “Most producers, directors, actors and actresses do not research
before making a movie. All they know is to make money rather than coming out with quality movies.”
The actress also said choosing a young actor to play an old man’s role is sinking the industry deep into the gutters. She says there are the veterans who are ready to play that role and directors should employ them for their services.
According to her, another thing killing the industry is people using what they have to get what they want. She revealed most actresses use their body to land movie roles whiles their male counterparts pay money to land roles too.
However, the actress who has been off the screens for close to seven years says there are some movie makers who stick to professionalism. Her latest movie with Miracles film is expected to hit the markets next month.
