The Annual ceremony to honour and acknowledge hardworking dancehall and reggae arts, BASS AWARDS, took place on Sunday, 25th December, at the Accra National Theatre and was powered by TV7 and Bull Haus Entertainment. The MCs on the night were King Legazee and Concious Queen of Pink fm.
Performances from Jupiter, Luther, Ras kuuku, Fancy Gadam, Rudebwoy Ranking and more made the audience go crazy by dancing or nodding as they watch the artists perform. In attendance was various musician and the general public. All the same, big ups to the organizers of the 2016 Bass Awards for
the colourful set up they did on Sunday but please start early next year.
Rocky Dawuni emerged as the highest winner of the night, taking home 3 awards followed by Dancehall artiste Livingstone Etse Satekla better known as Stonebwoy who seems to be going higher and higher as he wins 2 award being the best dancehall collab of the year and song of the year with his track “go higher”. Other winners were Ras Kuuku for Reggae Song, Ebony and Fancy Gadam for Discovery of the year, Amete for Alternative Reggae dancehall song “dansoman”, MzVee for Female Vocalist, Luther for Male Vocalist and more.
