MUSICIAN "OLOMIDE" DEPORTED FROM KENYA FOR ASAULT

ON HIS DEPORTED FLIGHT BACK

Congolese musician Koffi Olamide was billed to perform in Kenya Saturday night but the much anticipated Bomas of Kenya concert has been called off.

Upon landing at JKIA 6am in Nairobi, Olomide assaulted one of his dancers (Pamela) who is believed to have reacted negatively to the musicians wife Cindy who was part of the team. Video of the assault went viral on social media which led to the Kenyan Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet ordering the arrest of the maestro.

Olomide has denied the allegation of assault leveled against him despite the video evidence claiming he was only defending his team from some strange attacker.
He was later arrested by the Kenyan Police that Friday night right after a live TV interview and had to spend the night behind bars.

Trust Kenyans, They don’t take nonsense. This is the same people who arrested Nigeria’s Star Boy Wizkid for smoking weed in a hotel. He also had to spend the night behind bars and was later bailed from the grips of the police by his Kenyan girlfriend.

At 11:35 Saturday morning Kenyan time, Olomide was deported from Kenya. He was sent back to his home country on Kenya Airways and was expected to arrive in Kinshasa, DR Congo after 1pm.

THE KENYAN MINISTRY OF PUBLIC SERVICE, YOUTH AND GENDER AFFAIRS issued a statement on July 22 2016 stating;

“Today Kenyans witnessed with dismay an assault incident at the JKIA by renowned artiste Koffi Olomide against one of his female dancers.  His Conduct is an insult to Kenyans and flies in the face of our Constitution and what we believe in. Violence against women and girls cannot be accepted in any shape, form or manner. It is a blatant violation of their human rights.
We commend the action taken by the Kenyan Police Service and look forward to his immediate deportation. We further recommend that his Kenyan Visa be permanently revoked under section 35(4) of the Kenyan Citizenship and Immigration Act on account of his actions which are contrary to our laws and his subsequent utterances that portray Kenya in bad light. Kenya does not condone dehumanizing acts against women.
We hope that this action will be a lesson to him and others of his ilk that gender based violence will not be tolerated and all who engage in such archaic behavior will face the full force of the law regardless of their economic stature or social standing”

Looks like the answer to their prayers came too quick. They serve a mighty Kenyan God.

Hallelujah
