DANNY NETTEY TRIPS TO HEAVEN


Renowned Ghanaian urban gospel singer, Danny Nettey is reported dead.

Sources revealed that, he had a good night prayer with his family on Thursday night, went to bed physically fit and never woke up. He died Friday dawn after being found unconscious around 2:00 am.


According to his manager, Pastor Joseph Gyebi, Danny was found unconscious in the early hours of Friday morning in his home and was declared dead at 3am. As to what caused the death of the urban gospel singer, is not yet known.

Danny Nettey is a Ghanaian Gospel Musician, who began his music career with his own group, 'Danny Nettey and Pals’, which focused on ministry in secondary schools and churches. He eventually became
an assistant music director at his local church.


In the year 1995, he released his debut album, ‘Positive Change' which ushered in the contemporary style of gospel music in the country. This album made him a loved one by the young people back then. He was described by his colleagues as a man full of the Holy Spirit's power and passion for Gospel music.

Danny Nettey has travelled extensively in Africa and across the world. He has performed on many high profile stages alongside Bebe Winans, Kirk Franklin, Bishop T. D. Jakes, Israel Houghton, Don Moen, Alvin Slaughter and Ron Kenoly.

His music is mostly a blend of gospel, smooth R&B, inspirational pop and contemporary worship. Some of his songs include I believe, My all 2 you, I am the Lord, Adom (by grace), Metease (I live), and God's eyes on Africa.

Circumstances surrounding his sudden demise are still unclear. However, tributes have begun pouring on social media for the late singer.
