Female Hip-hop legend, Lil’ Kim, has come to the defense of Rapper Rich Homie Quan, after his botched performance at the recently held Hip-hop Honors Show in New York.
The show which was held at the Hammerstein Ballroom in Manhattan, New York few days ago, is an annual event that honors old school and golden age Hip-hop rappers.
This year’s edition honored iconic female rappers Queen Latifah, Missy Elliot, Salt-N-Peppa and Lil
Kim herself.
Kim herself.
While performing some of her hits, Lil’ Kim called up Rich Homie Quan to perform Biggie Smalls’ verse on the ‘Get Money Track’. Dressed in a typical Biggie Smalls Coogi sweater, Rich Homie Quan started off great, but messed up the lyrics to part of Biggie’s verse.
Since the performance, Rich Homie Quan has received backlash from across the world. However, Lil’ Kim came to his defense saying, “I loved you before and I’m gonna love you after… people make mistakes…”
Rich Homie Quan also took to social media to apologize to his fans, the hip hop community as well as Lil’ Kim.
