I DON’T DO FAST FOOD SONGS (GASMILLA)

Ga rapper Gasmilla strongly believes that whenever he releases a new song, it would be a hit no matter how long it takes because he does not do 'fast food' songs which fades in no time.

Gasmillla is of view that some good songs take time to be accepted by the public and because most of his songs are good, they slowly grow on listeners.

In an interview he said, “Songs like 3 points, Aboodantoi and Telemo were popular for a long period before fresh material over took them. However, the stories told these days are different."

According to him so many songs in the country today enjoy bigger airplay but only for short periods because they are 'fast food' songs.

"I don't just do songs for the fun of recording. I take my time and research on trending issues and that
made people fall in love with the songs" he said.

Speaking on his career as a musician, he said, he began music in his secondary school days as rapper. According to him, his parents did not second his decision to take the music path. In addition to breaking into the music scene with good music, he had to prove to his parents he was on the right path. He added "my parents are now proud of me"

Currently, Gasmilla is promoting three new singles: Edey jom papa, Meet your Meter and Naagode. He said research is an important aspect of his work.
