Another great South African musician joins the already exciting Moretele Park Tribute Concert line-up. Soul Kulture have confirmed that they will be joining the star-studded line-up on the Saturday 3 September 2016, in the City of Tshwane.
Now in its 19th year the Tribute Concert celebrates South African music talent with 100% local content. From jazz greats; Hugh Masikela, Jonas Gwangwa, Don Laka and Tshepo Tshola to acclaimed songstress Letta Mbuli, to the
electrifying sounds of Nathi, Mafikizolo, Zonke and Vusi Nova there is something for everyone to enjoy.
The Moretele Park Tribute Concert will also honour legendary jazz musician Babsy Mlangeni and SAMA and Grammy award winner Wouter Kellerman who will both be performing at the event.
In the spirit of broadening exposure to new voices, the Concert will also feature development artists from Puisano Jazz Bands and Tshwane development bands.
The Soul Kulture duo – Afeletse Manamathela and Msekeli Velaphi – describe their music as Afrocoustic Soul with influences from Ringo, Ntando and The Soil. Coming from the school of hard knocks, these talented youngsters have so much to say and have already recorded 14 songs. Their first single Ngeliny’ilanga is currently garnering them much attention in the industry.
