BLOOD BROTHERS SET TO ROCK CROWD AT CARNIVAL CITY SA

The eagerly anticipated Blood Brothers is back to  rock crowds at Carnival City as some of South Africa’s top artists unite in the fight against cancer once more.
Thirstier and readier than ever to go into battle, The Blood Brothers are set to attract thousands as they rock cancer in a way it has never been rocked before.
The Blood Brothers boasts new blood this year as Zolani Mahola of Freshlyground contributes her charisma and unique, fresh flavour to the concert at the Big Top Arena on 9 September 2016.

The formidable Blood Brothers super group was formed last year when the likes of Arno Carstens (Springbok Nude Girls); Kobus de Kock jnr (Black Cat Bones); George Van Der Spuy (Taxi Violence and Goodnight Wembley), and Albert Frost (Blues Broers) came together on  Carnival City’s stage for a rocking show in aid of cancer awareness. While this year’s performance will see the exit of Arno Carstens (Springbok Nude Girls), the rest of the Blood Brothers will be back to  perform the hits which brought them fame, as well as some international sounds which inspire them.

Backed by Hunter Kennedy (Fokofpolisiekar and Heuwels Fantasties) and Rian Zietsman (Taxi Violence and Beast) on guitar; Loedi Van Reenen (Taxi Violence) on bass, and Jason Hinch (Black Cat Bones) and Isaac Klawansky (Shadowclub) on drums, these artists banded together with the Vrede Foundation in the fight against cancer.

“We are honoured to play host to these South African super stars who are uniting in music for a worthy cause. As host to the concert, Carnival City can contribute to raising awareness and funds to assist young people affected by cancer,” said Michelle Smith, Marketing Manager of Carnival City.

A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will once again be donated to the Vrede Foundation which aims at creating cancer awareness in young people aged 15 to 29. The Foundation also helps raise funds for treating young people affected by the disease.
As an additional avenue to raise funds, The Blood Brothers recorded a war anthem “People Gotta Know” last year.

Their show will take place between 20h00 and 23h00 on Friday, 9 September at Carnival City’s Big Top Arena.  Tickets range in price from R250 to R 395 and are available at www.ticketpros.co.za
