Dancehall artiste Beenie Man was denied a Canadian visa and work permit documents to perform at the 7th annual Ovo Fest which was held on July 30th at the Td Echo Beach in Canada.
According to TicketMaster, "Due to immigration issues Beenie Man will no longer be able to perform as part of OVO Fest 2016 on Saturday July 30th at TD Echo Beach in Toronto.
In his place we have booked a slew of surprise special guests and of course Machel Montano will still headline as planned, with special guests of his own."
In an Instagram post, Beenie Man confirmed that he was denied the visa as well as, saying that he had contracted the Zika Virus (Zik V) and Dengue Fever
"Zika virus hol mi... The same Zika mosquito gi mi dengue." However, according to Beenie's manager, Rohan 'Blue' Smith, "he only contracted Zik V."
The news comes off the heels of Beenie's successful Reggae Sumfest 2016 performance where he brought on Dancehall artiste's Tommy Lee Sparta and Jahmiel.
