SA’S PASSION ABUNDANCE ANGELS WILL GET BY WITH HELP FROM ITS FRIENDS

Golden Valley has pledged its support for Passion Abundance Angels, a new and inspiring organization that lends assistance to HIV-positive patients in Worcester. As part of its social responsibility efforts, Golden valley donated much needed toiletries and personal hygiene items to the organization for distribution amongst the people it reaches.

“As a new, non-profit organization, Passion Abundance Angels relies heavily on the support and sponsorships it receives from the public. The organization is in need of funding to continue providing its services to the community. We would like to encourage companies and individuals to help where they can. Every helping hand and every little bit helps,” says René Scholtz, the PR and Promotions Manager at Golden Valley.

The organization has two qualified individuals who can test for HIV, as well as give the necessary counselling to those affected by HIV. Communication is an essential part of the education and counselling services the organisation offers.  As such, the organization has representatives who can speak Xhosa, English and Afrikaans enabling them to reach people in the three major languages that are spoken in Worcester. 

On 1 December, to mark World AIDS Day, Passion Abundance Angels will be hosting an event at the Maranatha Christian Centre where there will be motivational speakers as well as fun activities for the day.  Their plan is to get 250 youth to share their message of hope with one another and to educate and empower the broader community on preventing HIV and Aids.

Felicity Fransman, co-ordinator of Passion Abundance Angels says: “We are very thankful for the sponsorship that we received from Golden Valley. This will really help us a lot and make a huge difference in the lives of those who needs it most.”
