Swansea forward André Morgan Rami Ayew has listed his top four Ghanaian musicians.

The son of the Ghanaian football maestro Abedi Pelle in a radio interview professed his admiration for Shatta Wale especially when he was talking about his top picks.

“I like Shatta Wale because he is the number one artist right now because he believed in what he wanted to do.” He told Starr. “He believed in his music and he has charisma. 

He is my number one choice. I also like Sarkodie and then Bisa KDei too. I listen to R2Bees and then Stonebwoy.”

Reggae Artiste Chronixx was earlier classed by his friend/record producer Teflon Zinc Fence on Instagram as being a ‘Waste Man’.

The record producer who was seemingly upset, mentioned that, “me and… this #WasteMan will Neva Make music Again!!!!...”

No reason was given for the rant, however, people have been speculating that it may be a marketing ploy. Iconic dancehall producer, Jazzwad, commented on the post saying, “PUBLICITY STUNT YUH GUH”

BEENIE MAN TO RELEASE FIRST ALBUM IN TEN YEARS

Grammy award winning and International Dancehall Artiste Beenie Man, will be releasing his first album in 10 years on August 26th 2016.

Anthony Moses Davis, better known by his stage name Beenie Man the ‘King of the Dancehall’ broke the news on Instagram saying, “August 26th, Beenie Man – Unstoppable hot album… ITunes and Amazon you can get the album on…”

CHARLY BLACK IS OFFICIALLY A ‘BILLBOARD ARTISTE’

Jamaican MC turned artiste, Charly Black, has achieved the status of being a ‘Billboard Artiste’ after his ‘Gyal  You a Party Animal’ song climbed unto the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart.

The song which is featured on the ‘Jambean Riddim’, was produced by DJ Kurt Riley in 2014 for the Techniques Records Label. However, it started making strides when Universal Music Group through its subsidiaries signed a licensing deal which saw them promoting the song worldwide.

In an Instagram post, the artiste captioned a pic of his song on the Billboard Chart saying, “Big up God, Big up my fans, Big up my team …” 

The song has gained over 76 million views on YouTube and is showing no signs of slowing down.

‘Gyal You a Party Animal’ has been on the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic chart for 3 weeks and currently at No. 28.

Soul winning gospel group Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir says they can't wait to worship with Ghanaians on August 5.

In an endorsement video, the group expressed their excitement to be part the Airtel Adom Praiz event.

Their leader said; "we are really excited because you invited us to this year's Airtel Adom Praiz event in Ghana. We are also looking forward to celebrate Jesus with you"

The Award winning gospel music group stated that they believe that it will be a Holy Ghost encounter on August 5th and God will surely visit his children as they worship with fellow believers.

"Please join us on Friday, August 5th at the Perez dome as we come together to lift up the name of Jesus, we believe God will surely visit us so we want to see everyone there. Come let us fellowship together and let the holy spirit fill our soul" the group recommended.

The organizers of the event, Adom FM says they are yet to come out with the list of local artists who will join the Brooklyn Tabernacle choir to lead patrons of the event.

Highlife musician KK Fosu has said that Okyeame Kwame's career is dead.

In an interview, He said "the truth is that Okyeame Kwame is dead when it comes to Hiplife music.Right now he is trying to sing and when your career is dying that is when you switch to something else.

Iwan also said that the music industry has not been fair to him because currently, he forms part of the least talked about dancehall acts in Ghana and its breaking his hearts.
