FLY TV DIRECTORS IN DEEP (POSSIBLY PRISON TERM) TROUBLE

The Directors of Nour Vision Ltd, operators of Fly TV in Ghana have been cited for contempt of court for the unauthorized airing of football matches of the Premier League (PL) in disregard of a pending injunction application. 

Multichoice and SuperSport initiated a case against Fly TV at the Commercial Court, Accra in relation to the unauthorized broadcasts of the FIFA World Cup 2018, the PL and other television content rights violations. As date for the much-anticipated Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) gets closer, organizers have urged fans to continue to keep voting for their favorite actors and actresses in a movie or TV series. This year’s event takes place at the plush Eko Hotel, Lagos, Nigeria on the 1st of September and will be broadcast live around the continent on Africa Magic.

The seven categories open to public voting at this year’s edition include:
