08 August 2016 - Africa Magic, in association with Multichoice and proud sponsors Amstel Malta, is announcing the call to entry for the 2017 edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCAs), the prestigious initiative that honours film and TV talent across the continent. Billed to hold on the 3rd and 4th of March 2017, this will also mark the fifth consecutive year of the awards.

Authentic Talent and Literary Management filed complaint in the Los Angeles Supreme Court yesterday claiming that the 'Empire' actor owes them $250,000 as a result of failing to pay them 10% of his earnings while under their 'guidance' after he fired them.

BEENIE MAN REFUSED CANADIAN VISA

Dancehall artiste Beenie Man was denied a Canadian visa and work permit documents to perform at the 7th annual Ovo Fest which was held on July 30th at the Td Echo Beach in Canada.

According to TicketMaster, "Due to immigration issues Beenie Man will no longer be able to perform as part of OVO Fest 2016 on Saturday July 30th at TD Echo Beach in Toronto. 

VETERAN GHANAIAN ACTOR GEORGE WILLIAMS GONE FOREVER

The 87-year-old actor is said to have complained of some undisclosed ailment and was rushed to the hospital Sunday where he died Monday morning at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.
