The award winning group 4X4 is in the news and this time around not for their sense of fashion or style but stealing. Milestonehouseafrica.com picked the hint from presspeep.com on Monday that after a period of investigation, the group seems to be implicated in stealing the beat of their Hit track ‘Atongo’ from Tour 2 Garde, a very popular music group in Ivory Coast.
Reacting to the allegation leveled against them by the Ivorian group, Captain Planet said after listening to the Ivorian’s song the only similarities is the ’33! 33! 33!’ that one of their members (Coded) used in theirs.
‘They are not the same. They are entirely different beats’ says Captain Planet.
‘If we were not there when Garzy was producing the beat, that is where I may have my doubt but in this case we were present before he played it. Just last week someone too sent a message to our facebook page claiming the dancing in the video is his dance, please forget them’ continues Captain Planet.
He however dared the Ivorian Musicians Tour 2 Garde to take a legal action against them since this is a copyright infringement and they 4X4 are ready for any court action.
Captain Planet however admitted in a Whatsapp chat with presspeep that
(unedited), “As for beat dieerr, e go fit sound similar.”
